In addition to helping you with your ESL resume and cover letter and providing tips on ESL job interviews, we do as much as we can to introduce you to the local ESL market here in Costa Rica. During the first week of the course, you will receive all of our invaluable job search resources.
Meet Costa Rican Employers
We have lists of schools and institutes in Costa Rica that hire foreign ESL teachers. The lists are categorized by students' ages as well as locations (ie, at the beach), so you can make an informed decision based on what your needs and interests are. Many of these possible employers, especially the language institutes, are happy with our graduates that they have hired and now have a working relationship with us. Some of them even call us when positions open, desperate for more of our teachers. Idiomas Mundiales, our partner language school, hires our graduates several times throughout the year as positions become available as well. This information is passed to you, our graduates, right away!
We do our best to recommend the schools and institutes with the best reputations and to warn you of those without. We give surveys and talk to our graduates to find out what the benefits of each school are and what type of environment it has. Our graduates are always willing to talk to current students, giving advice about living and teaching in Costa Rica.
Workshops
We hold different live workshops throughout the onsite TESOL course, doing our best to be honest with you about the reality of teaching ESL, especially in Costa Rica. We know the process is quite different from finding work back home, and that it can seem overwhelming. We offer lifetime assistance when it comes to job search, so even if you don't have time to think about it during the course, we will always be available to answer any questions about finding your dream ESL job.
